Sahalee country Club, located in Sammamish, Washington, is rated one of the top 100 courses in America. Sahalee, which means “High Heavenly Ground”, opened in 1969 after 27 holes were carved out of the tall majestic Cedar and Douglas Fir native to the Pacific Northwest. The club hosted the 1998 PGA Championship and the 2002 World Golf Championship-NEC invitational.
Sahalee was first envisioned in 1965, when two separate groups of golf club members, decided concurrently that the Greater Seattle Area was in need of another championship golf course.
Sahalee Country Club has the privilege of hosting the 31st U.S. Senior Open Championship July 26-August 1, 2010. The U.S. Senior Open is THE major on the senior tour and will attract distinguished players such as Seattle born Fred Couples, Nick Price, Tom Watson, Peter Jacobsen, Mark O’Meara and many more.
